
INSIDEMAINLAND– There was pandemonium earlier today in the Ojota area of Lagos Mainland as some Yoruba Nation members and officers of the Lagos Police reportedly clashed following a rally held by the members of the Yoruba Nation.
According to reports, the Yoruba Nation group had planned to hold a massive rally in Ojota to advocate for self-determination.
Several social media videos and photos in circulation showed the site of a fight between police and members of the group.
INSIDEMAINLAND leant that one yet-to-be-identified man was shot dead.
Also, policemen arrived on the scene and used tear gas to disperse the crowd.
A source who pleaded anonymity said; “Ojota is up in smoke, police are shooting teargas, and one person is dead. There was a clash between the OPC and Yoruba Nation.”
However, the Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, has revealed that normalcy had been restored.
He stated that he was unable to provide specifics at this time.
“I don’t have the details, once I have the details, I will let you know,” the PPRO said.
