
INSIDEMAINLAND – The Lagos State Government has made known its intention to provide online content for public workers and other stakeholders in the public sector to offer in-house learning and evaluations.
The State Commissioner for Establishments, Training, and Pensions, Mrs. Jibola Ponnle, disclosed this in a statement on Tuesday during her first official working visit to the Public Service Staff Development Center in Magodo.
Ponnle said, “The PSSDC learning management portal, EkoLearn would soon come up with created and curated content to provide home-grown learning to public servants and other public service stakeholders even as the proposed Computer-Based Test center would come on-stream to facilitate the conduct of online assessments for the civil service and private organizations towards generating additional income for the center and the state government.
“The present administration is already working towards the modernization of the center including the relocation of the Law Enforcement Training Institute to a location more suited for the Institute’s paramilitary operations, the creation of a better ambiance, and renovation of the center’s physical and technical infrastructure.”
The Commissioner added that the state government had announced the appointment of Mr. Adekunmilola Adio-Moses as Director-General of PSSDC and the Commissioner encouraged the staff to work toward achieving the center’s established aims and objectives.
