Sanwo-Olu Lauds Tinubu’s Contribution

INSIDEMAINLAND– The Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has celebrated Senator Oluremi Tinubu, the wife of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Candidate on her 62nd birthday.

In a statement released on Tuesday, Governor Sanwo-Olu claimed that Senator Tinubu had made a name for herself over the years as a supporter of social justice, a philanthropist, and a voice for the voiceless.

Senator Tinubu, who served as the first lady of Lagos State from May 29, 1999, to May 29, 2007, and who has been the senatorial representative for Lagos Central District since 2011, turns 62.

The wife of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader and presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, was praised by Governor Sanwo-Olu as a valuable asset to Lagos State and Nigeria, saying that she has made immeasurable contributions to the development of the country.

Sanwo-Olu claimed that Senator Tinubu is Asiwaju Tinubu’s steadfast ally, trustworthy partner, and pillar of support, noting that the former first lady of Lagos State rose to prominence in the nation’s development of women and young people thanks to her passion projects, the New Era Foundation, and the Spelling Bee.

He Reiterated that the three-term senator’s admirable initiatives and accomplishments as a former first lady and current lawmaker had greatly benefited society, government, and the success, growth, and development of the ruling party.

Sanwo said: “On behalf of my wife, Ibijoke, and the good people of Lagos State, I heartily congratulate the distinguished Senator Oluremi Tinubu on the occasion of her 62nd birthday.

“Over the years, you have written your name in gold as an advocate of social justice, a philanthropist, and a voice of the voiceless. And through your pet projects, Spelling Bee and the New Era Foundation, you’ve become a reference point in women and youth development in the country.

“You have played critical roles in the growth and development of Lagos State and Nigeria, thereby setting examples for other women in leadership and governance. Your input in national growth as a Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria is a pragmatic testament to visionary leadership.

“You are a good ambassador of Lagos State and we are proud of your achievements in the Senate as one of the most active, visible, and vocal legislators in the Red Chamber. 

“On this 62nd birthday, I pray for continued God’s guidance, good health, and more of your service to humanity, Lagos, and our country.”
