INSIDEMAINLAND– Distinguished Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, FCA, the chairman of the Senate Committee on Industries and senator for Lagos East Senatorial District, has expressed his sorrow over the passing of Mr. Omotayo Sanyaolu, a former youth leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lagos State chapter, and senior special assistant to Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-olu on tertiary education, youth, and student affairs.
According to Abiru, in a statement released on Saturday in Lagos by his media assistant, Mr. Enitan Olukotun, the Late Sanyaolu was a resourceful young man who shown exceptional leadership in the numerous tasks he was given. Given the significant role the dead played during his by-election in 2020, the congressman stated his death was a personal loss.
Senator Abiru expressed his condolences to the deceased’s immediate family, the governor of Lagos State, Lagos APC, as well as other political allies and friends. He prayed to God Almighty to grant the departed everlasting peace and the strength to endure the irreparable loss.
“I express my sympathies to Mr. Omotayo Sanya-family, olu’s the Lagos APC, and the governor of Lagos State, His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-olu, on the sad passing of Mr. Sanya-olu, the former head of the Lagos APC Youth and the governor’s aide.
“Tayo was an enthusiastic and vivacious Youth leader and an excellent mobilizer. Given the close encounters I had with him while he was living, particularly during my Senate Bye-election in 2020, his passing is a personal loss to me. Along with other devoted members of our great party, he performed a significant role that led to a resounding electoral victory, according to Abiru, who was quoted in the statement.
