INSIDEMAINLAND – The Executive Chairman of Ikosi-Isheri LCDA, Princess Samiat Abolanle Bada, put smiles on the faces of residents in the community after she distributed 1,500 packs of monthly food palliatives to the residents.
The program marks the February edition of Mayoress Monthly Food Distribution Program.
In her speech, the Chairman said: “During electioneering campaign, we promised to hold our widows and aged at the heart of our programs and we ensure we do not renege on the promise by distributing monthly food palliatives to our widows, aged and youths inclusive.”
The residents were full of praises and prayers as they received their food packages (a combo of Rice, Beans, and Garri).
The beneficiaries of the February empowerment program, which took place at Senator Adebayo Osinowo Hall, in Ikosi Isheri council secretariat include widows, aged persons, youth, special persons, people living with disabilities, representatives of the CDC/CDA, market men/women associations, league of imams, CAN, Ndigbo community, Arewa Community, NURTW, Lascoota, Association of Okada riders, TOAN, Association of Senior Citizens, and several others.
Dignitaries present at the event include the Deputy Mayor – Hon. Olayinka Ogunleye (KAKARAKA), Mrs. Muyibat Balogun (JP) The Chairperson, All Members of the Legislative arm led by Hon Yinusa Salami, CDC led by Chief Adekoya, league of Imam, CAN, Indigbo and Arewa Communities, NURTW, Lascoota, Association of Senior citizen, market men and women, Political stakeholders among several others.
