IN IBA: Council Boss restates commitment towards improving education standards

As promised during his campaign, the Chairman on Iba LCDA, Hon. Yisa Abiola Jubril (Abila) has reiterated his commitment to improving the standards in the Iba LCDA to drive education in the community.

The Council boss was an unexpected visitor at his alma mater, Faozil-Omar Ahmadiyya Primary School, Okokomaiko on Wednesday, January 12, 2022, to physically inspect the state of infrastructure at the school.

During the visit, the PTA Chairmen of F.O.A School 1 and 2 Mr. Shakiru Yusuf and Mr. Sheriff Adebayo led the Council Chairman to the school premises where the headteachers took the number one citizen of Iba LCDA and his entourage around the school to inspect the state of facilities therein.

Speaking during the visit, Mrs. Odebamike T.O, the Head Teacher of F.O.A School 1, “flooding of the school premises whenever it rains is the major challenge confronting the school. Another of her request is a standard toilet with borehole”.

In her remarks, Mrs. Ahmed S.O, the Head Teacher of school 2 requested for a septic tank and security personnel while Mrs. Olanrewaju A. Rebecca the Head Teacher of school 3 on her part requested for the reconstruction of classrooms and renovation of some of the available ones.

Responding to their requests, Hon. Yisa Abiola Jubril (Abila) assured the school administrations of his administration’s commitment to meeting their needs.

He also made instant calls to key officers in the council who would ensure the delivery of the tasks as requested by the schools.
