INSIDEMAINLAND – The lawmaker representing Badagry Federal Constituency at the lower chamber of the National Assembly, Hon. Babatunde Hunpe has expressed his sadness over the unfortunate incident that occured in the Jah Michael area of Olorunda LCDA of Badagry Federal Constituency, Lagos State.
Hon. Hunpe upon hearing the incident extended his condolences to the bereaved families praying to God to grant them the fortitude to bear this unfortunate loss.
The lawmaker assured the parents and residents of Badagry that all relevant security agencies including the Police Force would be deployed to investigate the matter and also orderliness is restored in the area.
Recall that the unfortunate incident occurred on Saturday, December 4, 2021, when eight (8) children were found lifeless in a parked Honda Pilot at Jah Micheal Community, Olorunda LCDA.
According to an eyewitness, the children were reported to have died as a result of suffocation in the car.
It was also presumed that one of the children might have unconsciously, locked the car centrally.
One of the parents of the deceased who was reportedly looking for her child, discovered the lifeless bodies of the children in the parked car throwing the entire community into mourning.
