BREAKING: NEMA Alerts Ikeja Residents Over Gas Leakage

INSIDEMAINLAND – The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has alerted Ikeja residents to aviod open fire following a massive gas leakage in some parts of Ikeja.

According to NEMA, the affected areas include; Computer Village, Ikeja Underbridge end of Awolowo Way, Oba Akran axis, Anifowose Street, and Medical Road.

Reacting to the alarm, the Spokesperson, NEMA South West, Ibrahim Farinloye, in a statement on Wednesday said residents around the affected areas are prohibited from opening their shops.

“Residents around Computer Village, Underbridge Awolowo Way, and Oba Akran axis, Anifowose Street, Medical Road must not open shops or use open naked fire for safety reasons.

“Distressed alert just received indicates massive leakage of gas pipeline around these areas.” He added.
