After Robbery Attack, Lagos to Build Gate, Hire Guards for Ketu Primary School

INSIDEMAINLAND – The Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Education, Hon. Tokunbo Wahab, has pledged to facilitate the installation of a new gate and the construction of a Security house for the R.C.M Primary School Ketu.

This was coming 24 hours after some suspected robbers broke into the premises of the school and carted away with the condensing unit of a split air conditioner of the Library/ICT room.

Chairman of Ikosi-Ejinrin, Akogun Wale Raji Anomo who was at the school to inspect the scene of the incident described it as a despicable act.

He made this known via his Facebook page stating that the local council will not hesitate to let the law take its course once the culprits have been apprehended.

“We are committed to providing the security personnel that will secure the school premises to prevent such theft from happening again.

The local council boss also urged residents to also be security alert and participate in safeguarding their community as it is also their civic responsibility.

“However, it is pertinent for us to note that the protection and security of our commonwealth or lives and properties are not the prerogative of the government alone but a civic responsibility of all residents of our communities.

“on this premise, I call on anyone with useful information about this theft at the School or any other information at all that may forestall the break down of Law and Order in Ikosi-Ejinrin to share such with me or the police”, he added.
