JUST IN: Sanwo-Olu Dumps Twitter For Indian Microblogging App ‘Koo’
INSIDEMAINLAND – Following the suspension of the U.S microblogging app ‘Twitter’, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo Olu has resorted to using the Indian microblogging app ‘Koo’.
INSIDEMAINLAND gathered that Sanwo Olu media team has also joined the over six million Koo subscribers in order to disseminate the state programs and events.
It is believed that Chief Press Secretary, Gboyega Akosile, as well as Senior Special Assistant on new media to the governor, Jubril Gawat, has commenced the usage of the Indian app.
According to Wikipedia, Koo is an Indian microblogging and social networking service based in Bengaluru, India. Formerly known as Ku Koo Ku, the app was developed by Aprameya Radhakrishna and Mayank Bidawatka. It won the Government of India’s Aatmanirbhar App Innovation Challenge in August 2020. The app is currently valued at over $100 million.
