The Federal Government has declared a nationwide 12 am to 4 am curfew to curb the spread of COVID-19 in the country.
This was made known by the National Incident Manager, Mukhtar Mohammed, at the briefing of the Presidential Steering Committee on COVID-19 in Abuja on Monday.
According to Mohammed, the curfew would take effect from midnight on Monday.
He added that with effect from Tuesday, night clubs, gyms, and others would remain closed till further notice.
National Incident Manager further stated that gatherings of religious groups and weddings among others have been reduced to 50 percent attendance.
According to him, official engagements, meetings, and conferences will continue to hold virtually.
