Lagos Assembly Hails Somolu LGA For Consistency In Development

As part of the ongoing inspection of Local Governments by the Lagos State House of Assembly, members of Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Local Government and Community Relations have commended Somolu local government for its impact on community projects.

The Hon. Abdul-Sobur Olayiwola Olawale led Committee who recently, visited Somolu local government applauded the the Chairman for the completion of the rehabilitated Durosimi street and the newly built Primary Healthcare Centre.

Olawale, while addressing pressmen, applauded the performance of Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu led administration of Somolu Local Government for his performances in the areas of Education, works & infrastructure, healthcare, social welfare and other people oriented programmes.

He said: “I’m not surprised about the giant strides of the Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu led administration, as there is a noticeable cordial relationship between himself and Hon. Rotimi Olowo, Lagos State House of Assembly member representing Somolu 1”.

It would be recalled that since the inception of the present Local Governments administrations in Lagos State, The Hon. Abdul Hamed Salawu led administration of Somolu Local Government had completed over 30 roads while others are under construction, 10 boreholes were dug to allow access to clean water, schools were renovated and wearing new looks, furniture were provided for schools, monthly welfare packages have always been given out to the elderly ones, patrol vehicles were presented to the Police stations, School Rides/buses are made available for the comfort and easy movements of school children, and enormous supports are seldom given out to residents and staff members of Somolu Local Government.
