Twitter was agog with applause for one Dr. Sammie Amaechina of the Lagos University Teaching Hospital Idi-Araba, Surulere, Lagos State, who saved the life of a patient in urgent need of medical attention.
The patient, Tochukwu Ezeukwu, yesterday, took to his twitter handle @Towchukwu to appreciate Dr Amaechina for his relentless effort in saving his life.
According to Ezeukwu, the incident had happened long ago as he was in need of urgent medical attention that required a blood transfusion to save his life on that faithful day.
He said: “A House Officer saved my life in LUTH on the 10th of November 2017. He stood by me while everyone else afraid of blood stood aloof. Revived me when I passed out, broke protocol to get me blood and transfused me. His name is Dr. Amaechina. Where ever you are, thank you, again
“Thank you for your diligence and selflessness that night. Thank you. God bless nurse Christopher where ever he is, I remember him.” He added
However, Dr Amaechina also took to his twitter handle @birds_errand to repond to Ezeukwu appreciation as he also acknowledge the effort a nurse who was also available to help at the when Ezeukwu was in need of medical attention.
He said: “I’m glad to have been there for you. There was an amazing nurse in the picture, I think his first name is Christian/Christopher, great guy.
To the delight of well wishers, they hipped praises and applause on Dr. Ameachina for his heroic act and selflessness.
