Fuel scarcity looms in Nigeria as petroleum workers under the aegis of the Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (PENGASSAN) have threatened to embark on another strike.
The oil workers were ordered by the association to vacate their duty posts via a letter signed by the General Secretary, PENGASSAN, Lumumba Okugbawa and released on Sunday, November 8.
According to Okugbawa, the strike action is to kick against the failure of the government to make any concrete move as regards the differences between PENGASSAN and the government on matters bordering on the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System.
He did not give a timeframe for the planned strike action.
The Federal government is yet to comment on this development.
