The Federal Government through the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing and other relevant Ministries has allocated the sum of ₦4.5 billion for the handling of the Badagry Expressway, i.e. the express road from the Agbara junction to Seme Border road construction project.
According to the lawmaker representing the Badagry constituency at the House of Reps, “The funds shall be released to the contractor and our expectation is that the contractor would forthwith return to the site as the pandemic relaxes.”
“Furthermore, the contractor would ensure that both the palliative and the main construction work will commence and continue simultaneously.
“We express our gratitude to the Honorable Minister of Works and Housing Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola(SAN) for considering this road as one of the top priority in Nigeria. It might be of interest to note that only 44 Roads across the country and 6 from South West zone benefited from this SUKUK program.”
