The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Wednesday said Nigeria has conducted 247,825 tests for COVID-19 as of Tuesday.
It said out of the figure, a total of 37,801 tests returned positive.
The centre disclosed this in a document titled, ‘COVID-19 situation report 144,’ released on Wednesday.
It indicated that the data were as reported as of midnight of Tuesday.
As of the time of compiling the report, the centre said 15,677 patients had been discharged, leaving 21,319 active cases.
A breakdown of the total COVID-19 tests done by states showed that Lagos State had done 67,070 tests; Kano 28,310; the Federal Capital Territory -26,509; Oyo 15,199; Edo 10,896; and Plateau 10, 139.
Others are Kaduna 9,864; Ogun 7,950; Gombe 7,797; Borno 7,238; Delta 6,424; and Rivers 6,336.
