It would be recalled that, Democracy was used to be celebrated on 29 of May every year, but since the change of date on June 6, 2018 by President Muhammadu Buhari to June 12 to honour the late Cheif MKO Abiola who was the assumed winner of the June 12, 1993 election that was annulled by former Head of State, General Ibrahim Babangida, the day has been celebrated on June 12.
