NCDC announces 20 new Covid-19 cases

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has announced the discovery of 20 new positive Covid-19 cases in the country bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 210.

According to the Agency, the new cases reported are 11 in Lagos, 3 in the FCT, 3 in Edo, 2 in Osun & 1 in Ondo.

Meanwhile, the NCDC announced that two new deaths have been recorded in Lagos and Edo State.

The news is coming on the heels of the discharge of four more Covid-19 patients following their full recovery from the viral infection in Lagos State.

According to the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu who announced the development via his Twitter page, the news is a welcome development to the containment of the disease in the state.

The patients – 3 females and 1 male – including a baby, admitted when she was six weeks old were discharged after full recovery and testing positive. This brings the total discharged patients to 23.
