Covid-19: Four more patients discharged in Lagos

The Lagos State Government has announced the discharge of four more Covid-19 patients following their full recovery from the viral infection.

According to the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu who announced the development via his Twitter page, the news is a welcome development to the containment of the disease in the state.

The patients – 3 females and 1 male – including a baby, admitted when she was six weeks old were discharged after full recovery and testing positive. This brings the total discharged patients to 23.

Commenting during a session at the Lagos Island Maternity Hospital, Professor Akin Abayomi, the State Commissioner for Health disclosed that Eti-Osa local government has the highest number of confirmed cases with 47, Ikeja with 24 cases, Lagos Mainland 11 cases, while Alimosho, Agege, and Ikorodu local governments have one confirmed case each.
