Famous alternative medicine practitioner, Alhaji Fatai Yusuf popularly known as Oko Oloyun has been confirmed dead after he was shot by unknown gunmen along Eruwa-Igboora Road in Ibarapa Central, Oyo State.
Before his shocking demise, Oko Oloyun as he is known had his establishment in Alimosho, Lagos Mainland, where he put hundreds of Mainlanders to work.
According to a report by Punch, the deceased was said to be on his way from an event around 4.30pm, when the gunmen shot at his vehicle.
Confirming the incident, the Oyo State Police Public Relations Officer, Gbenga Fadeyi, said the state Commissioner of Police, Shina Olukolu, had visited the scene and ordered an investigation into the incident.
“Gunmen attacked his vehicle on the Eruwa-Igboora Road in Ibarapa Central; they shot at his vehicle and he was hit by a bullet,” he said.
He added that Yusuf’s corpse had been deposited in the Igbo-Ora General Hospital’s mortuary.
