Residents groan as rainfall renders parts of Ikorodu flooded

by Paul Agada

Some residents of the Ikorodu community, Lagos Mainland have lamented the aftermath of the first rain witnessed in the metropolis yesterday, Monday, January 13, 2019.

The rain which lasted for about fifteen minutes was witnessed in some parts of Lagos with Ikeja, Ikorodu, Ogba and some parts of the metropolis witnessing the rainfall.

As a result, some residents of remote areas in the State such as Parafa and Lucky Fibre in Erikorodo Ward of Ikorodu North Local Council Development Area also experienced the downpour.

The short downpour led to traffic gridlock on some roads rendering the areas in the metropolis flooded, Community Herald reported.

The residents therefore advised government to hasten various roads projects across the state before the rainy season fully sets in.
