Weeks after declaring Naira Marley wanted for failing to appear before it over an alleged car theft case, a Tinubu Magistrates’ Court in Lagos has dismissed the case against the singer.
However, for the second time in a row, Naira Marley who has consistently proved his innocence was absent during the hearing.
During
the hearing which held today, Tuesday, January 14, 2020, in Lagos, the court
dismissed the car theft charge filed by
the police against hip hop artist, Adeyemi Fashola, popularly known as Naira
Marley, his two brothers and their cousin.
Chief Magistrate Tajudeen Elias made the order during the hearing after receiving a settlement agreement between the
complainant Mr Adelekan Ademola and the four defendants.
Naira Marley, his two brothers, Idris Fashola, Babatunde Fashola, and their cousin, Kunle Obere, were the defendants in the case.
The Magistrate dismissed the four-count charge of conspiracy, stealing, assault and obstructing the police from arresting Naira Marley.
