Burna Boy reveals why he got Grammy nomination

Following the news of his Grammy Award nomination, Nigerian artiste, Burna Boy has attributed his latest success to the power of positive affirmations.

The music star’s African Giant album released earlier in the year was nominated alongside top artistes Angelique Kidjo, Altin Gün; Bokanté and Metropole Orkest; Nathalie Joachim and Spektral Quartet.

Since the news broke, excited music lovers and colleagues of the artiste have flooded their pages with congratulatory messages for his nomination.

Burna Boy reacted to the news on his Instagram page by sharing a photo of the nomination list, accompanied with a caption that read: “Speak it into existence.”

Recall that the superstar did sing about bringing home a Grammy in some of his songs, and with this nomination, his dreams may just be coming through.

The Best World Album is one of the 84 categories being contested by artistes from different parts of the world. The winner will be announced at the award ceremony slated for Sunday, January 26, 2020 at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Nigerians who had been nominated in the category in the past included Seun Anikulapo-Kuti, Femi Anikulapo-Kuti and King Sunny Ade.
