The Project Director of the China Brand Show, Bunmi Aliu, MD of the Atlantic exhibition, Nigeria, Ayo Olugbade and the Head of Market, Lagos Mainland, were present at the press conference that kick start’s the beginning of the Show at Lagos retail sourcing fair 2019.
The China brand show (CBS) will make its first appearance in West Africa as part of the Retail Sourcing Fair (RSF) exhibition coming up on 12- 14 November at Federal Palace Hotel Lagos, Nigeria.
Bunmi Aliyu said at the press conference that the exhibition will host over 400 companies from more than nine countries, including China, Indonesia, Turkey, Ghana, Morocco, India, Portugal, Italy, Brazil, and Ethiopia, among others, to showcase their diversified products and services to thousands of buyers in Lagos.
Aliyu noted that the aim of the to fair is to strengthen trade exchanges and cooperation among west African countries and china, as the Ministry of Commerce of Peoples Republic of China (P.R.C.), Trade Development Bureau will be the main host to grace the event.
Mr. Ayo Olugbade, also added that: “Nigeria’s retail market is too large to ignore. Companies that act now to build a winning business models will be getting in on the ground floor of one of Africa’s biggest growth opportunities.“
“With RSF, we will be tapping into the vast opportunities of the Nigerian market. This event offers favourable return on investment (ROI), job creation, development of cottage industries, infrastructure development, and contribution to GDP. The economic impact of the formalization of Nigeria’s retail industry cannot be overemphasized” he added.
