A staunch member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) and the party’s candidate in the 2019 general elections in Lagos State for the House of Assembly slot in Kosofe Constituency, Mr. Moyo Ogunlewe has decamped to the opposition party, All Progressives Congress (APC).
Ogunlewe, the son of Nigeria’s former Minister for Works, Mr. Seye Ogunlewe officially decamped to APC in a ceremony held in Kosofe, Lagos Mainland, today, Tuesday, April 23, 2019.
At the event which had in attendance the Senator-elect for Lagos East District, Hon. Bayo Oshinowo, and other top political stakeholders in the community, Moyo’s hand was raised to a rousing welcome by onlookers.
The recent development has drawn mixed reactions among party faithful and followers of Moyo Ogunlewe. Recall that Moyo Ogunlewe ran in the 2015 and 2019 general elections under the platform of the PDP by lost to Hon. Bayo Oshinowo and Hon. Ganiu Sanni Okanlawon respectively.
