Residents storm Ikeja Electric office in protest – PHOTOS

Residents of Akinde, Alakuko and Ajegunle-Ilo communities in Ojokoro LCDA, Lagos Mainland stormed the Ikeja Electric office in Ojokoro yesterday, Monday, March 25, 2019 in protest of the epileptic power supply and estimated bills sent to houses in the neighbourhood.

It was learnt that the residents have sent complaint letters to the power distribution company in the past yielding no positive response.

The lack of action by the company led to a protest by residents in the communities who stormed its Ojokoro undertaken office carrying placards.

According to the residents, Ikeja Electric has neglected the community and urgent action must be taken to resolve the epileptic power supply and poor customer relationship by the staff of the company.

Some of the leaders of the group expressed their shock at the development appealing to the power distribution company to take urgent steps in finding a solution to the estimated bills.
