VIDEO: Tension as gas explosion rocks Surulere

There was apprehension in the popular Cencus Market in Surulere community, Lagos Mainland, earlier today, Thursday, March 21, 2019, as a gas explosion rocked the neihbourhood leaving residents in panic.

It was gathered that the explosion occurred on a building located in the area with residents and onlookers scampering for safety.

It was learnt that the incident occurred at past noon leaving residents in serious panic.

While the extent of the damage is unknown at the moment, sources reveal the explosion affected a building with quite a number of vehicles gutted in the inferno.

As a result of the explosion, residents reportedly made a distress call to emergency responders who rushed to the scene to attend to the situation.
