#2019Elections: Mushin lawmaker in the lead as residents await poll results

In the aftermath of the 2019 general elections held across the Lagos Mainland and other parts of the country yesterday, Saturday, February 23, 2019, a candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Mushin community, Lagos Mainland is in a clear lead and has reportedly being declared winner of the poll in the area.

Hon. Yemi Taofeek has been declared winner of the Mushin Federal Constituency 1 seat after polling 14, 221 votes beating his closest challenger from the Accord Party who polled 6,763, Mushines reports.

Other contestants from other others such as ADC polled 110; AD 58; ANRP 53; CAP 2, DA 1, PPC 21 and PDP 3289 respectively. 
The result has led to massive jubilations in the camp of Hon. Alli who is currently in ecstatic moment. 

Meanwhile, much is still expected across other parts of Lagos Mainland as voters and party executives await the official declaration of polls results.  

In Oshodi LG INEC office, residents and party agents waited till the late hours of yesterday and today with polls results yet to be announced.  

Unconfirmed reports have it that the results may be announced at midnight pending the conclusion of counting and necessary paper works. 

Similarly, official poll results are yet to be announced in Agege, Ifako Ijaiye, Ikorodu, Badagry, Ojodu, Ikeja and other Mainland communities.
