Resident laments govt. neglect as access road breaks apart in Isolo – Photos

In the aftermath of the continuous neglect of the Isolo-Mushin road which connects Jakande Estate, Oke-Afa with other adjoining communities by the government and how the road is currently breaking apart, a concerned resident has lamented the inactivity of the government.

According to the resident, Oretola Olamiju who expressed his displeasure on the current neglect of the axis, the deterioration of the road has brought worry to residents and motorists who use the road to access their various destinations.

Accoding to him; “To those concerned, this is the same Isolo/Mushin Road from Jakande gate Oke-Afa. I think it is sad that a major access road can deteriorate like this.’

He noted that; “Nothing was done during the time the palliative measure was announced by the Governor; there is constant traffic unnecessarily now on both sides of the road due to this. Why are the public works people acting like this is not real?”

Furthermore, Olamiju narrated the ordeal of motorists who ply the road stressing that; “Everyday now inward from Okota Road, there is always traffic, once there is high traffic between Akiti busstop and Oke-Afa. Not to talk about the nightmare at Chemist busstop Sunday to Sunday, due to the bad state of the road at that point.”

The resident further urged the relevant government agencies to take urgent action to find a lasting solution to the struggles of residents in the axis.
