A total number of 330 candidates from different political parties will be contesting for the Senate and House of Representative seats in Lagos State. Inside Mainland can authoritatively report.
The details were revealed in the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) 2019 general elections final list of Senatorial and House of Representative candidates.
Out of the 330 candidates, 54 are vying for the three Senatorial seats in the state with 40 of them contesting for the two Senatorial seats on the Mainland. In addition, 14 others will be contesting for the only available seat on the Island.
Similarly, 276 candidates are vying for the House of Representative seats in the state with 244 of them from the Lagos Mainland alone.
Meanwhile, Ikeja Local Government has the highest number of candidates vying for the House of Representative seat with the numbers at 19 while Lagos West on its own part has 23 candidates contesting for the Senatorial seat.
