Hours after news went rife on social media that one of the pioneers of Yoruba rap music and a popular rap act, Segun Osaniyi, aka Lord of Ajasa is critically ill and urgently needs funds to undergo a peptic ulcer operation, InsideMainland can report that help has finally come his way.

InsideMainland reliably gathered that the rapper is currently responding to treatment at the Ikorodu General Hospital where he was rushed to by his wife and family.

Sources confirmed to InsideMainland that his ward in the male section of the hospital has been turned into a mecca or sort with concerned friends within the industry and other walks of life visiting the hospital to check on the ill rapper.

In addition, a close friend of Ajasa, ID Cabasa famous for producing some of the finest hits for Nigerian music stars, has confirmed that concerned persons have reached out to Ajasa to help settle his medical bills.

Reacting to a tweet by a Twitter user who condemned the decision by Ajasa’s family for coming on social media to seek help and the neglect by his industry friends, ID Cabasa said, Ajasa no longer needs surgery adding that his friends have come to his aid.

He tweeted saying; “Bro Ajasa is recuperating and all the above mentioned have reached out and sent monies. We’ve been attending to him for more than a week now… He doesn’t need surgery as we speak and he’s responding to treatment… Thank you.”

Recall that popular singer cum compere, Alariwo in a post shared via his official Instagram page called for urgent support for the rapper who we learnt is facing hard times at the moment.

In the post, Alariwo said; “My dear Collegues, Our brother, Lengendary Nigerian Afro hip hop artist and pioneer of Yoruba rap, Segun Osaniyi aka lord of ajasa is critically ill and needs funds to undergo a peptic Ulcer operation.”
