IN GBAGADA: Hit-and-run driver knocks down dispatch rider

A hit-and-run motorist reportedly knocked down a motorcycle operator popular known as Okada around Bukha Hut, a popular restaurant in Gbagada, Lagos Mainland.

According to an eyewitness who posted about the incident on Twitter, the victim, who is a dispatch rider for an undisclosed company, started bleeding from his head after he was hit by the yet-to-be-identified driver.

Lying helplessly on the floor, it was learnt that help didn’t arrive from the state’s emergency response unit despite several attempts to reach them. InsideMainland also gathered that attempts to get his company to attend to the ugly situation proved abortive as his employer who was contacted on the phone only “said she’ll call back.”

The witness who posted via @tosssss_ on Twitter, wrote; “I just witnessed a hit and run around bukha hut by the expressway. This bike guy is bleeding from his head and I called 767. It’s been over 16mins since I made the call and no one has come.”

She further revealed that she took the victim to the Gbagada General Hospital where he is receiving treatment.
