Mainlanders and residents of Lagos communities and other adjoining neighbourhoods should brace up for more than 48 hours of power outage from tomorrow, Sunday, January 13, 2019.
This is because plans are underway by the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) for a scheduled maintenance expected to occur from January 13 and 15, 2019 between 8:00am and 5:00pm.
The disclosure was made public by the General Manager, Public Affairs Unit, Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), Ndidi Mbah, who stated that the outage was due to annual preventive maintenance scheduled to take place at the Ikeja-West 330/132Kv Transmission Sub-Region in Lagos.
As a result, the maintenance exercise will lead to interruption of electricity supply to consumers especially in communities such as Alimosho, Ejigbo, Agbara and other adjoining communities.
According to him; “The interruption will be on Sunday, Jan. 13, 2019 between 8am and 5pm, and Tuesday, Jan. 15 between 8am and 5pm.
“The planned outage will enable TCN engineers from Ikeja-West Transmission Sub-Region carry out annual preventive maintenance work on some equipment for improved electricity supply to consumers.
“TCN sincerely regrets inconveniences that would be caused by the interruption and promises to continue upgrading and maintaining its equipment to serve Nigerians better.”
