TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Loaded tanker catches fire in Ogudu

Information reaching InsideMainland has it that a fully loaded tanker is on fire on the Ifako Bridge inward Ogudu, Ojota, Lagos Mainland.

According to the Lagos State Transport Management Agency (LASTMA), in a series of tweet shared via the Agency’s official Twitter handle, the fire has been put out and the carcass is being towed off the road.

The agency tweeted that; “#FireIncident @followlastma loaded tanker is on fire on the Ifako Bridge INW Ogudu enroute Ojota, Situation being Managed by @LAG_FireService and @lasemasocial. Please be advised, re-route thru Gbagada if you are already on 3MB, or better still go thru Eko Bridge.”

The Agency added that; “The fire has been put out and the carcass is being towed off the road now, very soon the road will be opened to traffic. @followlastma on ground to help you get to moving soonest”.  

InsideMainland cannot independently verify the cause of the fire incident or if there were casualties as at press time.
