As part of efforts to ensure that Oshodi Transport Interchange and the Murtala Mohammed International Airport Road are completed to ensure ease of access for Mainlanders who ply the axis daily, the Lagos State Governor, Mr. Akinwunmi Ambode, embarked on an inspection tour to the facilities today, Thursday, January 10, 2019.
The inspection tour was part of his routine checks by the Governor to ensure that the completion of the projects do not exceed the new date fixed for the deliveries of the projects in the first quarter of 2019.
The Oshodi Transport Interchange Project (OTIP) which is part of the Bus Reform Initiative of the state Government and the Muritala Muhammed International Airport Road are aimed at ensuring free flow of traffic and to enhance connectivity for motorists and residents who use the axis to access their various destinations.
The projects when completed will transform Oshodi into a world-class Central Business District (CBD) with business, travel and leisure activities conducted in an orderly environment.
Recall that the interchange was due for completion in September 2018 but later postponed to the first quarter of 2019.
