In a direct response to the yearnings of residents of Igando, Lagos Mainland, and other adjoining communities on the response time to emergency situations in the axis, the management of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) has finally taken action.
This was followed by the complaints on the spike in container trucks falling in the axis with little or no attention causing a heavy gridlock and other auto accidents in the axis.
To address the situation, the Agency has concluded plans to open an emergency response centre in Igando community to address the concerns of residents of the community.
Reacting to the queries and confirming the development, the General Manager of the Agency, Mr. Tiamiyu Adesina in a message obtained by InsideMainland said; “LASEMA keep lifting fallen trucks around the axis you mentioned daily even as at yesterday (Sunday). Let us know if any such incident on time and we will be there to do our job. All of us are on duty throughout the yuletide period and the New Year.”
“To serve you better, an emergency centre will be open in Igando for this period to reach people on time. That centre will be fully operational on Tuesday 25th December. Our Igando Relief Camp will be their base,” he added.
