Panic as pipeline explosion rocks Abule Egba

Information reaching InsideMainland has it that an explosion occurred in the highly populated Abule Egba end of Lagos Mainland at about 3:00 am today, Wednesday, December 18, 2018.

According to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), the explosion was caused by spillage from a tanker along Oko Oba road, Tipper Garage, Agege.

It was learnt that the incident occurred close to the branch of two new generation banks – Wema and GTB.

InsideMainland cannot independently verify if there were any casualties as at the time of filing this report.

However, residents of the axis have made a deep cry to rescue officers to come to their aid to put out the fire in the axis.

In addition, a combined effort by men of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), the Lagos State Fire Service and Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) has returned calmness to the area.
