IN IFAKO-IJAIYE: LG boss swear-in 42 Senior Special Assistants

The Executive Chairman of Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government, Apostle Oloruntoba Oke has sworn-in forty-two new members as Senior Special Assistants, Infrastructural Maintenance Agency and Market Reformation Agency to join the Executive Council with a charge on them to hit the ground running and offer only the best of service to the people.

Speaking at a brief ceremony held at the Ifako-Ijaiye Local Council secretariat in Aina Ajobo, Ogba, Lagos Mainland, Oke said the newly sworn-in Senior Special Assistants were appointed based on their track records, expertise and experience.

He added that they must immediately settle into office and inject new ideas to reinvigorate and reenergize government machinery at the grassroot to the overall benefit of the people of Ifako- Ijaiye.

Addressing the appointees, Oke charged the Infrastructural maintenance agency Chairman, Mr Rasheed Yekinni and Secretary, Mr Femi Ojelabi, that one of their immediate mandate is  to identify potholes on all roads; rehabilitate them and see to the completion of all on going infrastructural projects and activation of new ones to make life better for residents of Ifako-Ijaiye community.

On the part of the market Reformation Agency Chaired by Mr Bola Adesanya, Oke said, his appointment is based on his track record, expertise and passion for the development of his immediate environment.

“As you settle down to your new assignments, I demand nothing but the best from you by researching into places and spaces where new markets can be built in the council area,” Oke said.

Speaking further, the council boss said he remain committed to upholding his electoral manifesto and the policy of inclusion and implementing planned projects which in turn would have a direct impact on the livelihood of all residents.

Responding on behalf of the appointees, Mr. Rasheed Yekinni thanked Oke for finding him worthy to be part of a robust administration which according to him had implemented policies in all sectors of the local government.

He assured that he would key into the vision and mission of the council administration and offer nothing but the best at raising the bar to move the local government forward.
