The operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have stormed the Ilupeju home of Doyin Okupe, the Senior Special Assistant on Public Affairs to former President Goodluck Jonathan.
The development is coming barely 24 hours after the politician criticized President Muhammadu Buhari.
Okupe made the development known on his official Twitter page saying the EFCC operatives arrived his residence in Ilupeju, Lagos Mainland, and asked him to follow them.
“EFCC just stormed my house in Ilupeju Lagos asking me to follow them. No letter. No letter of IV no warrant. Saturday!,” he tweeted.
Okupe later added that the officials decided to leave on the promise that he will see them on Monday.
He stated that; “The officers finally agreed to leave on the promise I will see them Monday. Offence. CYBER CRIME.”
Recall Okupe had criticized Buhari saying the government had failed on security and the fight against corruption.
