Apprehension as suspected cult gangs take over Mile 12, Ajegunle communities

Residents of Mile 12, Ketu, Ajegunle and adjoining communities have made a plea to the operatives of the Lagos State Police Command to come to their aid over the recent happenings in the communities.

According to the residents, there is currently uneasiness in parts of the communities owing to the activities of cult gangs who threaten the peace of the area.

InsideMainland learnt that there is lawlessness in the communities with street urchins and cult gangs taking over the area leaving residents in fear.

While urging the security operatives to take action in restoring normalcy in the area, a resident, Amak, tweeted saying; “Your men need to be on ground in Mile 12 and its environs. These touts are at it again.”

Amak added that; “There are reports of some cultists causing chaos and disturbance in Mile 12 and Ajegunle environs. Please, we need your urgent involvement in this.”

Corroborating Amak, another user, Shuaibu Husseini said the cult gangs take advantage of the traffic situation in the Mile 12 axis to rob unsuspecting victims of their valuables.

“We appreciate your gallant strides in Lagos. But please your men need to come and maintain normalcy Mile 12, towards Thomas and Ajegunle. These touts are becoming too lawless,” he tweeted.
