Ikorodu born politician cum sports administrator, Prince Toyin Gafaar Bolowotan, who contested to represent Ikorodu Constituency I during the last All Progressives Congress (APC) during the last primary elections has been named the Director of Sports Affairs for the Babajide Sanwo-Olu Independent Campaign Group.
Sources close to the politician told InsideMainland that Mr. Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu who is the APC’s flag bearer for the 2019 gubernatorial elections in Lagos State set up the Sports Directorate to ensure that the sporting community in the state is involved in his campaign.
Toyin Gafaar Bolowotan joins the likes of Hon. Babajimi Benson who heads the Planning and Strategy Directorate, Comrade Sesan Daini of Media and Publicity amongst others in the Sanwo-Olu team from Ikorodu community.
Other members of the group from Ikorodu community include APC state Organising Secretary, Alhaji Abdullah Enilolobo who is the Director of Mobilisation; Hon. Adeniran Onilude (Special Duties); Tobi Lawal (Fund raising); Hon. SOB Agunbiade (Legal) and LAHA Deputy Speaker, Hon. Wasiu Eshilokun who is Research and Intelligence director.
Prior to venturing into politics, Toyin Gafaar is the proprietor of Bolowotan Football club, Ikorodu, Lagos Mainland. He is also a sportsman who fought boxing and played football in his younger days.
