Information reaching InsideMainland has it that another man has just taken his own life by jumping into the Lagos lagoon from the Third Mainland Bridge.
According to a tweet by the operatives of the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) of the Lagos State Police Command, the unidentified man plunged into the lagoon earlier today, Friday, November 2, 2018, before help could get his way.
“A man has jumped into the Lagoon from 3rd Mainland Bridge,” the Agency posted on Twitter.
The team added that; “RRS riders got to the scene almost immediately and radioed for assistance from the Marine Police, LASG rescue boats and local divers who recovered the corpse.”
Meanwhile, unconfirmed sources said the victim was commuting in a commercial bus when he requested that the driver pull over for his to pee.
He was said to have alighted from the bus, made an attempt to pee, before jumping into the lagoon.
However, the RRS said the remains of the victim have been taken to Ebute Ero Police division for identification.
