The Executive Chairman of Agege local government, Alh. Ganiyu Kola Egunjobi has commiserated with the family of Alh. Babatunde Lukman Alao, on the death of the erstwhile Sole Administrator of Apapa Local Government, Lagos Mainland.
Recall that InsideMainland reported the death of late Hon. Alao who died in the early hours of Thursday, October 25, 2018.
In a condolence message to the bereaved family, Egunjobi affirmed that Late Alao, who was well respected among the progressives for his forthrightness would long be remembered for his service to Agege in several roles.
In his words; “I am sorry to hear of Ambassador Alao’s death and on behalf of the good people of Agege, and management and staff of the Council, I express our most sincere sympathies to you, his family, during this difficult time. He was highly valuable by APC members and served the party in various capacities.
“He will greatly be missed. Please know that our prayers and thoughts are with him and you, his family and friends,” the Council boss wrote.”
Late Alao was a progressive and at one time or another member of SDP, AD, AC, ACN (all defunct), and the All Progressive Congress, APC. He was Personal Assistant to former Lagos Commissioner for Agriculture & Cooperatives, Chief Enoch Ajiboso, while the latter was the Executive Chairman, Agege Local Government.
The deceased, who was once APC’s Legal Officer in Agege community, at a period was current Lagos Commissioner for Waterfront Infrastructure Development, Dr. Samuel Adejare’s aide, and until his demise, the Agege Coordinator of Senator Solomon Adeola re-election campaign.
His remains was laid to rest according to Muslim rites yesterday. In addition, a three days special prayer in his honour will hold tomorrow, Saturday, October 27, 2018, at Soore close, off Malowo street, Orile Agege, Lagos Mainland.
Late Alao was survived by his widow and four children.
