The rainfall witnessed on the Lagos Mainland earlier today, Wednesday, September 23, 2018, brought pains to some residents of the Mainland around Ikeja, Ogba and Agege communities following the flood occasioned by the rain.
In the one hour of rainfall witnessed in the communities, residents of the neighbourhood had to maneuver their ways through flooded areas due to the impact of the heavy rainfall in the area.
Due to the rainfall, the popular Ogba bus stop, was flooded with dirt littering portions of the road while residents struggle to find their way around the axis. Also, some parts of Yaya Abatan, Oba Ogunji road and adjoining streets were not left out in the flood.
Similarly, the Ikeja Under bridge was left in a mess with parts of Awolowo Way flooded in the rush hour.
In addition, Agege community is not left out as some parts of the bus stop along Maternity Street are currently flooded. This was caused by waste left unattended to by the drainage channels which has now blocked the drainage
Recall that InsideMainland had earlier reported the flood witnessed in Mainland communities such as Ikorodu, Isawo, Ogba, Anthony, Ojokoro, and Agege in the past.
At the time, residents of the communities urged the government to take prompt action in attending to the situation.
