IN MENDE: Checkout residents’ demands when Kosofe lawmaker, Hon. Bayo Osinowo engaged stakeholders

In line with the directive of the Lagos State House of Assembly for its members across the 40 constituencies in the State to engage their Constituencies on interactive sessions, Hon. Bayo Osinowo representing Kosofe constituency 1, on Thursday, August 9, 2018, held a stakeholders meeting in Mende-Maryland, Lagos Mainland.

The meeting themed: “Towards A Peaceful And Credible elections”, was held inside Mende Town Hall, Mende-Maryland, Lagos Mainland, in synchronization with other constituencies in Lagos State.

At the stakeholders meeting, important proposals were submitted by the constituents for onward transmission to the Governor for implementation.

InsideMainland learnt the proposals include: construction of Primary Health Centre at Araromi Gbagada, rehabilitation of roads at Oworosoki and Araromi Gbagada, construction of pedestrian bridges at Ifako and Gbagada Bus stops, construction of market at Oworosoki among others.

In his response, Hon. Osinowo promised to take urgent action by making instantaneous presentation of all proposals and suggestions to the house for onward transmission to the executive for quick implementation.

He also urged party leaders, members and groups to conduct themselves in a way that promote peace and unity during and after 2019 general elections.

Furthermore, Hon. Osinowo equally enjoined religious leaders and parents to preach peace while calling on community leaders to mobilize and encourage eligible voters in their communities to collect their Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) in order to participate in the coming elections.

He stated further that the proposals that were gathered at the stakeholders meeting would be factored into 2019 budget and therefore urged the constituents to freely articulate their requests and suggestions in order to help government in formulating strategic policies that would enhance and put Lagos on an enviable pedestal.
