More than thirty days after the officials of the Lagos State Government completed the removal of abandoned vehicles on Lagos Mainland roads and other parts of the State, the government has announced a 30-days window for owners of such vehicles to come for its claim.
In a two page public announcement in a leading newspaper, the government announced the final notice to owners of the unclaimed cars saying owners who fail to claim their cars thirty days after the publication will to eventual forfeiture of the vehicles to the government.
This according to the notice is stipulated by the extant laws of the Lagos State Government (LASG).
According to the government, a total of 373 (Three Hundred and Seventy-Three) vehicles are currently with its officials yet to be claimed by its owners.
Owners of the affected vehicles are scattered around Lagos Mainland communities such as Mende, Ikorodu, Agege, Abule Egba, Ikeja, Surulere, Costain, Yaba, Ipaja, Ketu, Magodo, Mile 12, Bariga, Ikotun and many others.
They are urged to contact the State Government Secretariat on how to reclaim their vehicles before the expiration of the notice.
