In the aftermath of the tragic accident that claimed the life of a danfo driver, Fatai Rasaq and several others at Ojuelegba, Surulere, Lagos Mainland, yesterday, Tuesday, June 19, 2018, the family of the deceased has already made demands of what needed to be done by the company of the truck driver.
According to Hakeem Rasaq, the younger brother of the deceased driver, the driver has a wife, a one-year-old child and aged father who are dependent on him for their daily needs.
With tear-filled eyes, he told InsideMainland that “we are not interested in taking anyone to court. The hurt of having someone so dear to you die in such circumstance is too much to bear and adding a court case to that would only amount to more pain.”
He, however, said that the family would ask the company involved to purchase a new bus and also employ a driver to ensure the family of the deceased are properly catered for.
“We would rather not ask for much. They should ensure they get a bus and find a driver who would work with the bus to provide for the needs of his family,” he said.
