More than 22 passengers in a commercial bus plying the popular Third Mainland Bridge earlier today, Wednesday, June 13, 2018, were saved from the cold hands of death less than a week after an unidentified woman was alleged to have plunged into the lagoon in the axis.
According to reports, the passengers including the driver of the commercial bus were saved by the crash barrier on the bridge from plunging into the lagoon.
It was gathered that the bus somersaulted a few times before crashing on the crash barrier which prevented the bus from ending in the lagoon.
During the incident, some passengers sustained varying degree of injuries but were swiftly attended to by fellow motorists before the arrival of rescue operators who moved seriously injured ones to a hospital for full medical care.
