IN BARIGA: Alleged cultist stabs himself to death for ‘seeing ghosts’

An alleged cultist identified simply as ‘God’s Time’ as allegedly stabbed himself to death in the Odunsi end of Bariga, Lagos Mainland, after complaining about seeing ghosts.

It was gathered that the suspect killed himself on Monday, June 11, 2018, leaving residents in the area in deep shock.

Unconfirmed sources said the deceased was a notorious cultist in the area and an alleged member of the popular Eiye cult gang with dominance in Bariga, Somolu and other parts of Lagos Mainland.

A resident who confirmed his demise to InsideMainland said; “I heard of the incident yesterday (Tuesday) among people in the area. I was told he stabbed himself after complaining of seeing strange things that only he could explain.”

On the victim being a notorious cultist, the source said: “I can’t say much about that because people can say different things behind one another. I only heard he is friends with some guys who collect revenues and issue tickets in the area.”

InsideMainland learnt that the body of the deceased has been deposited in a morgue by Police.
