There was mild a drama along the usually busy Maryland end of Ikorodu road yesterday, Wednesday, April 18, 2018, when residents and other road users discovered the lifeless remains of an unidentified lady in the axis.

It was learnt that body of the yet to be identified lady was found around 5:00 pm when majority of residents were just returning from their various work places.

Bystanders who noticed the lifeless body allegedly alerted others close by before a distress call was made to the emergency rescue team of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA).

After proper observations, it was discovered that all parts of her body were intact and the cause of death unknown.

When InsideMainland visited the area, activities have returned to normal and one would barely notice any incident of such occurred in the area.

A resident who owns stall close by the scene told InsideMainland that the body of the deceased lady was noticed by a young lady who immediately alerted others around. “I sent my son on an errand and was waiting for him to return when I heard the noise that a body was found. I immediately rushed there out of fear to know what was actually happening because my son was meant to take that route,” the source said.

“When I got there, people had already gathered with different views of what could have led to her death. I think she might be suffering from an ailment before she collapsed because no one could explain what led to her death. Some people said she might have been dropped from a moving car but there were no marks to determine if that is the true situation,” the source added.

Meanwhile, InsideMainland gathered that the remains of the deceased was removed from the area after the officials of LASEMA and a Police team visited the scene.
